Tiferet Journal

IMPROVING YOUR PERFORMANCE AS A POET with Susan Courtney
Tuesdays from 7 pm – 8:30 pm ET

Tiferet Journal is offering a new online workshop series taught by Professor Susan Courtney, actor, playwright, and theatre professor.

When you give poetry readings at bookstores and other venues, it is important to share your work in its best light. In order to prepare for your readings, Susan offers guidance on pacing, clarity, emotional connection, creating images in the mind, tone of voice, and silences.

Goal: to bring each poets’ poetry to life so that it resonates with the listener and brings across the feeling, intensity, depth or humor that the poet has worked so hard to encapsulate.

For each class: Each participant will bring in a poem to work on that he/she will email to Susan at least a day before the class.

Dates: Tuesdays: November 4, 11, and 18

Time: 7:00-8:30 pm ET

Cost: $90 for all 3 workshops

The workshop will be held live via Zoom video conferencing.
