SPIRITUAL POETRY WRITING
Tuesdays from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm ET

Join other poetic voices this summer as you look at poems from different eras and different religious traditions and use special prompts to seed your own writing that may be of comfort to yourself and others. We’ll look at poems from Rumi, Tagore, Jane Hirschfield, Mary Oliver, and many others.

The workshop will be held live via Zoom video conferencing.

Workshop fee is $150 for all 6 workshops.

“It isn’t often that I have the opportunity to write spiritual poetry with a group of like-minded poets.  What we had was a supportive community, all addressing the same subjects, but each from their own style and viewpoint. The poems offered for inspiration were varied, some I knew and some I was surprised to learn.  While I do write on my own, the prompts were a good nudge to get something on paper. The whole group offered useful feedback and I got some ideas that I could take along to use in my own writing. Cit Ananda’s poetry is inspired by direct experience, captured in moments between perception when the mind falls quiet and deep silence shares an offering that touches the mystery of life. She will tell you she catches poetry on the winds of the universe.
