Writer's Workshop BannerThe Writer’s Workshop in San Francisco features a series of lectures and events and an impressive array of featured authors. This event is sponsored by Hay House and will be held on October 5 and 6, 2013, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson is one of the event’s featured authors and speakers. Of her ten published books, six have been New York Times Best Sellers. One of Williamson’s most recent books, A Course in Weight Loss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever, a New York Times Best Seller, was selected as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2010.

Williamson, a native of Houston, Texas, has appeared on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Larry King Live. She founded Project Angel Food in 1989, a program that serves food to homebound individuals with AIDS in and around Los Angeles. The program is still running today, and serves over 1,000 people each day. A NEWSWEEK magazine poll in December 2006 listed Williamson as one of fifty most powerful baby boomers.

The Writer’s Workshop gives participants a chance to have a book published with Hay House and even become a New York Times best-selling author. One lucky participant will be awarded a $10,000 advance in addition to a publishing contract with Hay House. Event details can be found here.
