General Information:
The Tiferet Community website is designed to be easy to navigate and use. Those familiar with blogging tools might be interested to know that this site is built on the WordPress platform, software specifically designed for publishing content.
The Tiferet Community is open to all members, and is completely free to use. People wishing to provide support to the Tiferet Community may sign to become a Tiferet Patron member for only $48 per year ($4 a month!). Tiferet Patron’s have access to certain premium areas of the Community, like the Tiferet Journal Archives.
How to create an account:
At the top of the site you will see a button titled: “Join the Tiferet Community”, click that. Next please fill in your user account information and then click “Submit”. Your account will be created, and an e-mail will be sent to you with your account information. You will then be taken to a page where you will be offered the opportunity to become a Tiferet Patron, or begin browsing the site.
How to log in to Tiferetjournal.com:
At the top of the site you will see a link titles: “Member log in”, click that and you will be brought to the log in page where you will enter your e-mail address and password.
What if I forgot my password:
If you can’t recall your password you can easily reset it. First click here, then enter your e-mail address. An e-mail will be sent to you that contains a link to reset your password. Click that link and enter your desired password.
How to become a Tiferet Patron:
It’s easy to become a Tiferet Patron. If you already have a Tiferet account, simply log in, then click the “Upgrade to a Tiferet Patron” button that will display at the top of the site. If you do not have a Tiferet account, please create a new one (directions here), and you will be offered to become a Tiferet Patron on the second page of the account creation process.
How to upload a picture to your account:
An account picture goes a long way towards connecting you with the Tiferet Community. If you’d like to add a picture to your user profile, then first log into the site. Next, look at the menu at the top of the site, and find: “My Account”, put your mouse over that and you will then see “Profile”, put your mouse over that and you will see “Change Avatar”. Click that and you will be able to upload an image, and then crop it so it looks good throughout the site.
How to create a new blog post:
First log in to your account, and then look for the menu bar at the top of the site. Locate the item “Dashboard” and place your mouse over it, you will then see “Add New Post”, click that. For more info, click here to watch this tutorial video.
How to edit or delete a blog post:
First log in to your account, and then look for the menu bar at the top of the site. Locate the item “Dashboard” and place your mouse over it, you will then see “Manage Posts”, click that. You will then see a listing of all the posts on the site. To find yours, enter your username in the search box, and click “Search Posts”. Locate the post you wish to edit or delete. To delete it, simply click the “delete” link that displays when you place your mouse over the post title. To edit your post, click the post title.
